NEW COVID-19 LIBRARY UPDATE....effective February 1, 2021, the San Diego County Libraries will be providing in person service on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm and from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm. They will be closed from 12:30 to 1:30 for sanitation purposes. You are welcome to browse and check-out books, pick-up your holds, use our computers (we have four desktops and two laptops available), get a library card, and speak with Library Staff.
The library will be open for walk-up only/pickup of requested library materials at all branches on Mondays and Fridays 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. On these days you walk up to the table set up at our front door and scan your card. Library staff retrieves your items, checks them out to you, and then pushes them across a six-foot table for you to take home. There is no sanitation break on these days.
Please wear a mask on all days!
The Library has an extensive Digital Library available at sdcl.org and new customers can get a digital library card on our website.
Customers can place new requests on www.sdcl.org or by calling the library, and they will receive a notification by email, phone, or mail when their materials are ready for pickup. No appointment will be necessary for customers to pick up their materials. New customers can also sign up for a library card at our walk-up service table during walk-up hours.
