Starting on Tuesday, June 15th all County Libraries will be open for In-Person services Monday - Friday, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm!
- We will NOT close for a sanitation break – our amazing janitorial staff will still come to sanitize and clean three times per day (morning, afternoon, evening).
- We will end the 25% occupancy limit
- We will end the quarantining of library materials
- Friends of the Library book sales will resume!

The Library has an extensive Digital Library available at sdcl.org and new customers can get a digital library card on our website.
Customers can place new requests on www.sdcl.org or by calling the library, and they will receive a notification by email, phone, or mail when their materials are ready for pickup. No appointment will be necessary for customers to pick up their materials. New customers can also sign up for a library card at our walk-up service table during walk-up hours.

Lakeside Friends of the Library meets the second Wednesday of the month at 6:00 p.m., at the Lakeside library. All members are welcome to attend.
The Lakeside Friends of the Library strives to encourage literacy, lifelong learning, and the love of reading throughout our diverse community. The purpose is to build and maintain an association of persons interested in the library, its services, facilities, and needs. We seek to enhance the library’s resources, increase the community’s access to information and knowledge, and provide a vibrant cultural gathering place. We are a volunteer-based, non-profit organization 501(C)(3) who believes that a vital and attractive library is essential to our community.
