  • Retired from Lakeside Union School District in 2009 as an account-clerk for the food service department, worked there for over 20 years.
  • Joined the Woman’s Club of Lakeside in January 2014, very active with Veterans Committee and Children Art Show and whatever they have going which is a LOT.
  • Active member f the Lakeside Historical Society.
  • Member of the V.F.W. Woman’s Auxiliary Post 5867.
  • Loves to go to the theater and travel any and everywhere.

  • Moved around a lot before her family settled in Lakeside in 1973, when her dad was discharged from the US Navy.
  • Attended Lindo Park, Tierra del Sol and El Capitan, before attending San Diego State University and obtaining a B.A. in Public Administration.
  • Retired in May 2019 from the City of Poway as its City Manager, capping off a 35-year career in local government.
  • Served in a variety of volunteer roles while her daughter was growing up, including the Parent Teacher Group at OLPH school (secretary and president), as a Girl Scout leader, and assisting with fundraising at Our Lady of Peace Academy and El Capitan High School.
  • Served as a speaker on leadership panels at business events and at SDSU.  Also authored an article for Public Management

Education/Community Liason : Dr. Nina Drammissi,

  • Principal of Lindo Park Elementary School in the Lakeside Union School District.
  • Was Assistant Principal of Lakeside Middle School.
  • Taught grades K-8 in the Lemon Grove School District, and teacher education courses at San Diego State University.
  • Master of Arts in Reading with a Reading Specialist Credential, and a Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership with a focus on Science Education.
  • Passion is collaborating with community partners to empower students, families, and teachers to create optimal learning opportunities for Lakeside youth.
  • On the Board of Directors for the Lakeside Chamber of Commerce and enjoys investing time in community events with people who care about Lakeside.
  • She enjoys spending time with her husband and two children and family pugs.
  • Loves to read, write, hike, eat her husband’s wonderful cooking, and spend time near the ocean.

 

Marketing/Promotional Materials: Jennifer Ceballos

  • Lifelong child advocate who has played many roles in the community and in promoting social justice.  Not only a parent with a Master’s Degree in Management, she is a home health aide and music educator. Past experiences include prevention case work, marketing and YMCA Child Care Director. She has improved the lives of families in San Diego County for nearly 30 years.
  • Currently the choral music teacher at Benchley-Weinberger Communication Magnet School in San Carlos. Not only does she teach music to K-4 students, she runs an after-school Choir where children learn to sing patriotic and culturally relevant songs performing throughout the community.
  • Additionally, she divides her time supporting local efforts including being a licensed foster parent for the County of San Diego, a Board Member of Lakeside Friends of the Library Council, Circle TLC Horse Ranch for rescued horses, singing at local hospitals and nursing homes, and hosting exchange students as well as splitting up volunteer time between her children’s school at Lakeside Farms Elementary and El Capitan High School.
  • She is thrilled to be part of the library project to promote learning, exploration, and a growth mindset for the entire Lakeside community through literacy.
