The Lakeside Friends of the Library extend their heartfelt gratitude to Kenneth Horton and his sister, Sue Griswold, for their generous donations in remembrance of Tressie Horton. Mrs. Horton, a cherished former library staff member, had a special wish to enhance the library experience for Lakeside’s children.

In honor of Tressie’s legacy, the Lakeside Friends of the Library proudly matched their donation to help bring her vision to life and support her commitment to enriching the library experience for young visitors.

We are delighted to announce that, thanks to these wonderful donations, musical instruments have now been installed outside the library for the enjoyment of Lakeside’s children. A beautiful plaque has also been placed near this enchanting area, dedicated in loving memory of Tressie Horton.
